3/5/08:
On April 1st, at 6:30 pm, the Scottsville Fire Department will be
hosting an informational meeting on Advanced Directives, including
MOLST, Living WIlls, etc. For more information, click

2/29/08:
Scottsville Fire and EMS responded to the report of a snowmobile
struck by a train on Caledonia Ave in the area of the Holy Angels
Cemetery. Asst. Chief Coates was on location with a snowmobile
that had been struck, but no injuries. MCSO is handling the
investigation.
2/23/2008:
Scottsville Firefighters and EMT's, along with assistance from
Mumford F.D., responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident
with injuries at the intersection of North Road and Wheatland Ctr.
Road. One person was injured and was transported to Strong
Memorial Hospital.
2/15/2008:
The members of the Scottsville Fire Department would like to
extend our congratulations to firefighter Jenna Coates. Jenna
is a nursing student at St. John Fisher College, and has been named
to the fall 2007 Deans List.
2/2/2008:
Scottsville fire fighters and Rescue Squad responded to a motor
vehicle accident on Scottsville-W.Henrietta Road. One person
was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
1/31/08:
Scottsville fire fighters responded to many reports of trees down
and wires down, due to the high winds.

The
Scottsville Fire Department and Rescue Squad delivers Fire
Protection, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Search and Rescue,
Technical Rescue and Fire Prevention to the residents of the
Village of Scottsville, the Wheatland Fire Protection District
(primarily east of Wheatland Ctr. Rd) and the Chili Fire
Protection District #4. This is done with a 100% volunteer
staff on a 24 hour a day basis, 7 days a week.
In calendar year 2007, the volunteers of the Scottsville Fire
Department and Rescue Squad responded to over 550 calls for
service. Of these calls, nearly 200 were fire related requests,
with 350 requests for ambulance service, which is provided
by the Scottsville Fire Department Rescue Squad. On top of
emergency responses, our personnel put in near 3,000 hours of
training for 2007.
